Garage Sale-ing and Gator Tail-ing

Ash and I went out to some garage sales recently and though there was a whole mess of junk, there were also a few little hidden treasures! Ash always finds really great toys for Ryley, which she loves, and Ash loves, and I love! I've mostly been looking for little finds for baby and got some good scores this last outing!
This is Gilbert the Gator. Now, I'm not a huge fan of stuffed animals at all, but this guy was in MINT condition, is a whole lotta stuffed softness to love, was for sale for a measly $3, and considering I'm using lime green in the baby room, I picked him up and brought him home. Plus I couldn't resist his sly smile! He will be a great pillow for Kaiya to curl up on or ride or sit and read books with, since he is kinda life size! Chris' jaw dropped when I brought Gilbert home. I think he was a bit confused as to why I went garage sale-ing at the zoo. But he always seems to trust my insanity and I think he secretly adores Gilbert because of how much he loved Steve Irwin, the Croc Hunter! I may just catch Chris in Kaiya's room on Gilbert's back and a rope tied around his mouth, wrestling him down in memory of Steve! Oh yeah, and did I mention how SOFT Gilbert is?!

I couldn't believe these cute finds. They looked like they had never been worn! I haven't been very good at buying a lot of winter clothes for Kaiya so when I saw these, I had to get them! Ohhh, she is gonna look so CUTE in them! I can't wait!
And the shoes, oh the shoes! So small, so sweet, so cute!
This dress will be too big for awhile, but I loved it, so I had to get it! What a doll Kaiya will be and mom is going to have so much fun playing dress-up!!

So, thanks to the wonderful people who took such GREAT care of their stuff so that I could come and buy it for mere cents! A successful garage sale-ing day for sure!

We love good garage sales! Somehow in Utah I've seen way more JUNK sales than I ever saw in Oregon, but it looks like you scored. We got a giant stuffed duck when Callan was born and now he loves it! Good find

You have found some diamonds in the rough. I never go to garage sales because in the past I've found nothing but junk. I should tag along with you and Ashley next time. I love the gator and the red patent leather shoes are the cutest!

Successful garage sale days are always satisfying. I hate when I waste the time and effort and don't get a treasure!

Great finds! Whenever I see such cute little girl things it makes me miss having a little girl. Jade turned into a "tom-boy" around 5yrs old. Little girls are SO much fun! Keep and eye out for old formals at garage sales, if you know anyone who sews, they make the perfect dress-up dresses and are super easy to cinch up. Jade and her friends used to wear them all the time when she was little.

Oh but be careful with that stuffed alligator! I have actually read reports where they come alive and eat people. Just a heads up.

That coat is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. You have to post a picture of baby Kaiya in it someday!
