Well, we have a BUSY, BUSY, but very fun few weeks ahead of us. Let me just say two weddings, birthdays, anniversary, blessing, lots of friends and family in town...and that's just the next 3 weeks! YIKES! But we are very excited for all the fun things happening in the coming weeks!
We started all the fun off in a GREAT way! Chris' little sister, Ann, got married!!! The family all arrived and we were able to squeeze in some good times with a BBQ with both fiance's families...
(here is Brad and Ann -- we could not love either of them more! they are a perfect match!)
(Brad bought Ann this beautiful wedding gift -- a picture of the Draper temple with their names and wedding date inscribed. How cute are they?!)
(Kaiya kept busy eating other people's donuts -- don't know who this one belongs to --
and playing at the fun park, even though it was about 9,000 degrees and she kept saying "HOT, HOT!" Love it when she sweats and her hair starts to curl all around her face and those cheeks get so rosy!)
Great grandma Grover and Tay were quite smitten with each other! It was sooo nice to have grandma and grandpa here -- first trip out to Utah in quite a few years! They are so wonderful!Chris' little brother, Wes and his fiance, Tiffany. Their wedding is in just a few weeks! (that's my baby, not theirs, by the way :)
That night we finished off the 24th holiday with the traditional Grover family fireworks show. It was a lot of fun!
(Kaiya's new way of hugging -- with her cute cousin, Colby)
(Chris and his two younger brothers, John and Wes)
Tay even joined the fun with her glow stick!
The next day was the BIG day for Brad and Ann! We were sooo excited for them! Honestly, this was a long-awaited day for all of us, especially them! Chris and I knew they would always get married. But after years and years of being best friends, we were getting quite anxious! But isn't that the BEST way to start a marriage -- already being the best of friends?! These two are the cream of the crop, though, and two of the most wonderful people I have ever known. I am sooo glad to have Ann as a sister and now Brad as a brother (in a very round-about way!).(some members of our Grover fam: nephew Colby
Chris' sister, Heather and hubby Dave,
their little girl, Kirra
brother, John and his wife Beth
two of his beautiful sisters, Heather and Whitney)
And the HAPPY, in-love, new couple!
The reception was so beautiful, but the only pictures I got were of Kaiya. She was sooo funny. She decided since nobody else was dancing, that she would just go ahead and get the party started by busting her own groove. It was hilarious and she was sooo serious about these moves!
It was such a GREAT weekend and we are so happy to have been able to spend so much time with family to celebrate such a JOYOUS occasion! Biggest congrats to Brad and Annie! We love you guys!More fun to come -- and I'll try my best to keep up!
