And Life Goes On....
I have been quite the slacker this week, and with as much as I check our friends' sites, I should know that keeping this updated is really important! Sorry!
This morning I had a "what the?" experience. After several weeks of GORGEOUS spring weather, I walked out this morning to about 4-5 inches of snow! Say it with me now..."WHAT THE?" Yeah, how easy it is to forget that it is spring time in Utah and that this is completely normal! And life goes on....
Chris and I had another really sad and disapppointing month with our struggle to start our family. After almost three years of this, it gets pretty hard. But we try to stay optimistic and we really feel strongly that it will happen, we just don't know when or how! And life goes on....
Chris has been really busy this week with school -- not that that is unusual! He is taking a pretty full load, trying to get done as quickly as he can. On top of that he got invited to participate in a major research project with one of his professsors, which is a GREAT opportunity, but also one that is taking up quite a bit of his time. I'm so proud of him, even though I tend to miss seeing him as much as I would like! And life goes on....
We are looking forward to our upcoming travels over the next little while. This weekend we are heading to Moab (the pictures are from our trip to Moab last year). Chris will be playing in a volleyball tournament with some friends and then he and I will have some fun hiking around and going to the arches. Such a beautiful place and hopefully the weather will cooperate! Then a few weeks later, we are traveling out to southern California to visit my brother and his family and to meet our new nephew, Luke, born in December! We are very excited, and Chris can't wait to do some surfing! Then of course, our big trip to China will be in May. I hope the time goes by quickly, because we cannot wait! And life goes on....
Life really does go on and the great part about this phase of life for us, is that even though we are really busy and learning a lot of patience in getting some really important things we would like (KIDS), we are so content and so happy. I'm sure much of that stems from being married to my best friend in the world and the joy that comes from our relationship! It's good to be able to experience all that life brings together! And to have so many great friends and great family to share it with along the way! And life will continue to go on....

I couldn't believe the snow either! It's still a blizzard outside. The roads were terrible. Hang in there girly! I know what it's like to want something so bad and not be able to make it happen.

Wow, can I have your autograph? That was very eloquent, Karli! Maybe you're supposed to write a book or something....like maybe about the struggles of infertility when all is said and done....you have a special way of sayin/writing things!

So sorry the kids are taking a while to get here. I wish there was something I could do to help. You guys are in my prayers.
Thank you guys for your encouragement! Having good friends makes everything a whole lot easier! Guess we all have our own struggles, don't we, but it's nice to have great people to share the journey with!
