Zip it!
Oh my little funnies! The things that these kids say! I need to start being better about writing them down because I know I will forget 3/4 of this cute stuff!
Here are a few of my favorites lately:
I like to tease the girls when they are whiny and say, "Zzzzip it!" It makes Taylor laugh every time. The other night, she was sick and laying on Chris' chest, half asleep. He was singing "Old McDonald" to her and all the sudden in her low, sick voice, she says, "Zzzzip it." Every time Chris would start to sing to her again, she would repeat it, "Zzzzip it!" We were dying laughing! Our 18 month old is telling us to zip it already! What sass!
Anytime anything gets broken, no matter what it is (a torn book page, a tear in a stuffed animal, etc.), Kaiya will say, "It needs some batteries, mom. We need to go to the store!"
Last night as I was tucking Kaiya into bed, she asked me, "We go to church tomorrow?" I said nope, not until Sunday. Then she asks, "Is it preschool tomorrow?" Nope, not until next week. Then, "We go to Grandpa's house then?" Luckily we ARE going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Thanksgiving, so I said, "Yes, we will go to their house in TWO days." She then says, "Two days and three cupcakes -- YAY!"
The minute we walk into the grocery store, Kaiya takes off full speed, screaming at the top of her lungs, "It's CHRISTMAS!!!!" (There is a Christmas tree set up right inside the doors.) Wonder if she is going to have a heart attack when we get our tree put up this year! I can't wait!
I have had a cold this past week, and every time I cough, Kaiya gets this really concerned look on her face and says, "Mom, do you need to throw up?"
The other night, the baby was kicking like crazy, so I had Kaiya come sit with me and put her hand on my stomach. The baby did a HUGE kick and Kaiya got this scared look on her face and took her hand away, saying, "Uh mom, is she coming out?" She now asks me on a daily basis if the baby is coming out yet!
If Kaiya ever coughs or sneezes, Taylor looks at her with her head cocked to one side and says, "Ok?"
Several times a day, Taylor will go find a book and come set it on our laps and say, "Tory (story), yeah?"
Whenever it's time to go pick up Kaiya from preschool, I will ask Taylor is she wants to go pick up sister. She immediately stops whatever she is doing and runs to the door, knocks, and says, "Kai Kai!!" She gets so excited!
When we ask Kaiya what sound a turkey makes, she says, "Bockle, bockle" -- she is combining Gobble and bock bock (turkey and chicken sounds). It is so cute!
Thanks to these two sweet girls for our constant entertainment! I wish I could have recorder on me at all times to capture these sweet things coming out of their mouths! It is only cute coming from them! Love it!

I LOVE it! My favorite has to be the Christmas comment. She will be in heaven this year. I hope that you are feeling well. We are almost there!!!

That is so cute! I love hearing things kids say because it is so sweet and innocent. I love that she told Chris to zip it! So adorable!
